A Place Apart Events

a teaching community where all types of people can come for a time

to break from the world and rediscover the new way of living

introduced by Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit.

A Place Apart is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Putney, Vermont.

Beginning in the summer of 2008, we invite individuals and groups to visit A Place Apart in Vermont for a time of personal spiritual retreat. Arrangements can be made in advance to have A Place Apart plan parts of the program with your group, or your time can be left unstructured. Guests are invited to join in the daily rhythm of life together through prayer and work. A donation is asked for your time here.

If you have not yet participated in one of our A Place Apart retreats or have and are looking for some follow-up, we hope that you will be able to create a space in the near future to join us. We were in Pennsylvania in April 2008 and in Ohio in May, but if you missed us at either of these gatherings, watch this site for future retreat dates.

A Place Apart retreat fees include all food and lodging. Scholarships may be available to students, BVSers, and others in need. The retreats begin Thursday at 7:00pm (after dinner) and end Sunday around 1:00pm (after lunch).
