The stable is a one-room structure at the lower property built to house animals. It sits adjacent to the lower property's garden, and also provides storage space for gardening tools, equipment, and fire wood. A long-time dream of the A Place Apart community has been to bring livestock into the community, and to model a healthy and sacred relationship with God's creatures. In early 2009 there are no animals yet living at A Place Apart, but the stable stands ready to accommodate then when they arrive. The stable stands just a few paces from the cottage and barn. |

A Place Apart has full use of two nearly adjacent properties on a gorgeous mountain ridge in Putney, Vermont. These privately-owned grounds are made available to the A Place Apart community and its guests, as a home for A Place Apart. |
