A Place Apart's Marie Rhoades to join Christian Peacemaker Teams Delegation to Palestine/Israel Marie Rhoades is the most recent person to join the A Place Apart community on-site in Putney. She has been living in the "upper property" at 728 West Hill Road since September 2007, focusing on communications and community-building. In January, Marie will take part in a peacemaking delegation to Palestine/Israel led by Christian Peacemaker Teams. According to its website, "Christian Peacemaker Teams (CPT) offers an organized, nonviolent alternative to war and other forms of lethal inter-group conflict. CPT provides organizational support to persons committed to faith-based nonviolent alternatives in situations where lethal conflict is an immediate reality or is supported by public policy…" A Place Apart often references the work of CPT as a prime example of what it means to be a nonviolent "warrior."
